April 16, 2010

I have officially lost 9.7 lbs in one week! Needless to say I'm estatic and really motivated. The out pouring of support that I've received has warmed my heart and encourages me to press on each and every day! I know one thing, I've never ate so much broccoli in my entire life. I haven't craved sweets this week, I'm just running out of snack foods. I've been eating Oatmeal with extra fiber and that usually holds me to lunch but in the afternoon I begin to get very hungry and it seems I'm eating every few hours. I know enough about weight loss to know you're suppose to eat several times a day but I'm running out of things to eat. I did learn that pineapple is really good and a great low calorie snack. I would gladly accept any ideas on recipes, low calorie snacks, or any exercise tips! Please comment on my blog or leave me a note on Facebook. My next water works class is Monday night at 6 pm. I'm excited and looking forward to burning more calories and I can't wait to celebrate my 20 lb weight loss with you all. Please keep me in your prayers!!!

April 12, 2010

I weighed tonight and I've lost 8.2 lbs (water weight) now I'm down to 355 lbs. My new slogan is "Swim my way to skinny." It's actually what I'm doing at Water Works on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday's. Let's just say that I worked my tail off tonight. She had us running laps in the pool, jumping jacks, upper body workouts with pool weights, and we even did 100 crunches and the best part is I kept up with the entire class! Now onto my diet for the day. I started off with a breakfast sandwich from Subway. It was ham, egg whites, and cheese on a muffin. It's only 160 calories and 4 grams of fat. I ate a banana mid morning then I had a footlong Oven roasted chicken breast on wheat for lunch. I also ate some peaches and yogurt throughout the afternoon then ended with a six inch sub from Subway for dinner. I also had some Light Pringles and a 100 calorie pack of Fudge Shoppe cookies. I also had 2 can's of Diet Mountain Dew's the entire day which I usually have about 4-6 cans a day and even more on the weekends. I felt really tired and sluggish all day from not having gallons of caffeine but everyone keeps saying I'll get over that soon. Today was an exciting day! Thank you Lord!!!

April 11, 2010

I woke up this morning excited because for once I worked out and wasn't aching like a tooth ache. For the first time I could get out of bed and not scream in pain. I can lose weight! I started off my day with a poptart for breakfast. My goal this week is to cut out sodas and cut back on sweets. I bought Propel Water and I'm going to purchase Fiber One cereal (Per Bob - Biggest Loser) and add Blueberries or Strawberries so I can get fruit as well. I was bad for lunch today and ate Gondolier. Let's just say lunch took a long time because I was savoring each and every bite. Dinner was better. We had baked ribs, mashed potatoes, and green beans. My biggest success today - I had 1 cookie the entire day. Sunday is usually the day I can stuff down an entire box of Little Debbie's so I'm excited. Please continue to pray for me in this journey to the new me.
